Safety Assessments

Traffic Safety Assessments are an important tool used in reducing traffic collisions and improving overall traffic safety. Traffex Engineers conducts Traffic Safety Evaluations for local California agencies, on behalf of the Institute of Transportation Studies at University of California, Berkeley, which address;

• Reducing crashes at high collision locations
• Improving the safety of pedestrian and bicycle facilities
• Evaluating freeway interchange operations and traffic circulation near schools

Funded through the California Office of Traffic Safety, assessments are conducted through the ITS’s Technology Transfer Program which provides professional resources for the transportation community.
